NFAA High Performance Compound Academy Shows Growth in its Second Year

The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center hosted its second High Performance Compound Academy June 25-29, 2014. Top youth archers from across the country came to receive four days of advanced archery instruction from multiple top-level coaches. This year’s Academy has made huge strides since 2013. The 2014 graduating class grew from just nine archers in 2013 to twenty seven.

Yankton to Host Inaugural NFAA Outdoor Target Championships

The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Complex will host the first annual NFAA Outdoor National Target Championships, October 4-5, 2014. The event will be a 2-day outdoor shoot featuring a NFAA 900 Round on Day 1 and a NFAA Classic 600 Round on Day 2. To celebrate the first year of the NFAA Outdoor tournament, the NFAA will offer a Professional Guarantee for the Male and Female Freestyle Divisions.

Keeping Comfortable: National Guard Builds Comfort Station For NFAA, Yankton

As part of a summer training camp, the South Dakota National Guard recently completed a project on the National Field Archery Association (NFAA) grounds in Yankton that will benefit the general public.
A comfort station that includes a bathroom, concession stand and registration area was started by the 155th Engineering Company of Wagner May 4 and finished in mid-June.

SD Archery Complex Earning International Cred

A South Dakota city with fewer than 15,000 residents is continuing to establish itself as an international archery powerhouse.
Yankton, a Missouri River community in the state's southeast corner, recently beat out Mexico City (population 8.8 million) in its bid to host the 2015 World Youth Championships. The weeklong event next June will draw some 600 competitors from more than 60 countries to the National Field Archery Association center.

USA’s NFAAF to host World Youth Championships in Yankton in 2015

The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Centre was unanimously awarded the right to host the 2015 World Youth Championships by World Archery’s Executive Board in May.
The bid, submitted by the National Field Archery Association Foundation, met all the Executive Board’s stringent criteria, designed to select the most suitable host for a World Archery Youth Championships.

Easton Sports Development Foundation and NFAA Foundation Award Record $28,750 in Archery Scholarships

Yankton, SD – Easton Sports Development Foundation and the National Field Archery Association Foundation are pleased to announce the Archery Scholarship Recipients for 2014. $28,750 in total scholarships was awarded to 22 student athletes in middle school, high school, and college that compete with either compound or recurve bows. Individual scholarship awards varied from $500 to $2500. The top scholarships were awarded to Hunter Jackson and Michelle Gilbert.

Yankton to Host 2014 Outdoor Nationals and WFAC

Greetings Fellow Archers! Wow! What an incredible way for us to celebrate our 75th Anniversary! Not only hosting the 69th National Field and the IFAA World Field but at our own Headquarters and if that’s not enough, it will be the grand opening of the NFAA Museum! This July 30 through August 9 will be the highlight of Everything NFAA and Everything Field Archery in Yankton, SD. If you haven’t made plans to attend, please do so now. This will be an incredible gathering of Field Archers from all over the World.
